What caused this in my figtree? Had leaves 3 weeks ago. Most leaves have dropped. God Bless, David B

I hate that.
That fig tree has been there since I was a tiny boy.
Upon reading "Google" I'm not so sure I believe the information, as it reads:
Once the ambrosia beetle is inside the tree, there is no way to kill the insect or the eggs .
I believe since the tree is more than likely dead, uprooting and burning the tree would kill the eggs.

Hate it for you! Borers got our huge fig tree this spring too. Made me sick to have to cut it.

Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.
