You should have walked out and found another restaurant.

Naw Huntress they would've taken the cash for a money order or cashiers check 😏

Shelby County won’t take cash for a ticket either. Has to be a money order. I’ve had bank tellers ask me why I was taking out money before and I’ve told them that was none of their business. It shocks them a little but the questions stopped there. Bank scams, ransoms, etc…are all BS excuses the banks are using. More and more business, and even churches, are moving away from cash transactions/donations.

That’s wild. The red bar has it figured out cash/check only. I’ve never understood folks trying to get middled all the time unless they have a hand in processing?

The government doesn’t want cash transactions because they have a harder time making sure the IRS gets their cut. Think about tips. If you tip by card, the waitress has no choice but to claim it as income.

Most of them don’t want to take cash because they don’t want to pay someone to count it. Dollar general is the worst. There’s been many of times I’ve been waiting to ring up some beer at the counter and waited 5 or 6 minutes before I even saw an employee. The only thing from keeping me from walking out without paying is owning shares of the damn place.

I've had my bank ask what I was gonna do with all that cash . I usually tell them I'm gonna buy a coon dog or a mule or such. I think most of the time they believe it . laugh
