I’m considering buying the Garmin 106vs with a Live view transducer. I’ve always ran Humminbird so don’t have experience with Garmin. Does anyone have anything bad to say about the Garmin 106vs with the Live scope?

Same setup I have, I need to use it enough to get good at livescope fishing. Do you have the LV32 or LV34 transducer?

I have a 106SV with the LVS32 and I'm satisfied with it. Obviously I think anyone would like a bigger screen, but for my setup it works.
I think id be satisfied with the 10" screen. I've watched YouTube videos comparing the LV32 vs LV34 and while there isn't any just amazing differences there is some better quality in the 34 but I don't think is $700 better. Do you have to have a Navionics or Lakmaster card with the Garmin? Someone told me that it came pre-loaded with a Navionics.

I’m considering buying the Garmin 106vs with a Live view transducer. I’ve always ran Humminbird so don’t have experience with Garmin. Does anyone have anything bad to say about the Garmin 106vs with the Live scope? I've already posted about my setup; look for the thread below if you haven't read it. Now I have a 9" and a 12", and usually run the LS on the 12". The 9" is fine IF you have a setup that gets it close to your eyes. I'm sure the 10" is better. I was not happy with a 9" mounted on the floor of the bow of a bass boat. That put my eyes about 5' from the screen and I couldn't tell much about what was happening. If you wanna video fish you need to be able to see your bait on the screen, and I couldn't do it with that setup. My eyes are not that good, so it might not be as much of a problem for you. I would want the biggest screen I could get for a bass boat. I use the map feature almost constantly on one unit while running the LS on the other. I got a map subscription with all the Garmin units I've bought.

My bow mount 10" is in no man's land. I'm stuck right in the middle of needing to use readers & not. It's not as bad as I make it sound though, I still love my set up.

" It also includes preloaded BlueChart® g3 coastal charts and LakeVü g3 inland maps, both with integrated Navionics® data and Auto Guidance technology that uses your desired depth and overhead clearance to easily calculate routes and see a suggested path to follow." I usually re-map the areas I fish a lot with the Quickdraw 1' contour feature. The only thing I don't like is that the Garmin Force won't autopilot along a certain contour, but you can pretty much do it if you build your own route and use autoguidance.
