Anything to do there? Good food, good bars? Never really found anything there that interested me back when we hunted up that way. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT order the gumbo if you stop at Bates House of Turkey. Not sure what they brought to that table, but it dam sure wasn’t a gumbo.

Well.. you have Cracker Barrel, Walmart, The Tex-MEx Bar/Restaurant next to Walmart. Wintszells, Waffle House, some mediocre Chinese place, a Captain D's, McDonalds, Hardees, Wendys Burger King, Taco Bell. That Potato Place is open for Lunch I aint ever been there. .

The one Mexican place has the best salsa I have every had? El Amigo The owner is a super nice guy. He said the salsa will taste different from time to time because they don't use canned ingredients. Also their Steak fajita nachos are the best thing I have ever had from a Mexican place! Or if you like avocados get the Avocado Amigo ribeye.

Go by the hardware store downtown. If it’s the same one I’m thinking of, it was an old building jammed packed with stuff. They were not real friendly.
