Anything to do there? Good food, good bars?

Never really found anything there that interested me back when we hunted up that way. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT order the gumbo if you stop at Bates House of Turkey. Not sure what they brought to that table, but it dam sure wasn’t a gumbo.

Well.. you have Cracker Barrel, Walmart, The Tex-MEx Bar/Restaurant next to Walmart. Wintszells, Waffle House, some mediocre Chinese place, a Captain D's, McDonalds, Hardees, Wendys Burger King, Taco Bell. That Potato Place is open for Lunch I aint ever been there. .

Got a couple of Mexican restaurants with bars, also Wintzells has a bar. Neat little place downtown called Alabama Grill is good food. When will you be in town?

The one Mexican place has the best salsa I have every had? El Amigo

The owner is a super nice guy. He said the salsa will taste different from time to time because they don't use canned ingredients.

Also their Steak fajita nachos are the best thing I have ever had from a Mexican place! Or if you like avocados get the Avocado Amigo ribeye.

Go by the hardware store downtown.

Brian, you are correct. I sat at the bar and talked to him. Very funny man. Said he makes it fresh every morning family recipe.. I even bought some to take with me.
