Who's taking their high school kid to the tournament this Saturday? We will be there on the Ol' 1984 doo-doo brown Ranger Bassmasters Classic!

You have a 40-year-old Classic boat? That's pretty cool.

Neely should be on fire on lower end and at Leesburg.

Yes Clem! I found it down here near Dothan about 2 years ago. An older lady's husband had died of Covid when it first "came out". She was selling it at a good price about the time I was in the market for a boat. I put in new carpet and livewell pumps...batteries... but everything else has worked well for an old bass boat. It has the original motor and seats. I would love to know who fished out of it in the '84 Classic or if it was a boat fished out of by Bill Clinton, George Bush, or Ray Scott. It has a small number "41" stamped on some metal near the motor. Some one told me that's how I could find out how it was used in that tournament...I'd love to know! I believe there were 40 contestants in that Classic, so it may have just been an extra or cameraman boat or something....but yes, still cool!

That is cool! A piece of history!

Planning to be there. Never been on the lake, so our goal is to catch/weigh 5.

I'll ask a friend of mine about the boat number. Very cool!

This will only be our second time on the lake. I enjoyed it last time. The weather changed on us severely as we waited to blast off last time. We were able to catch fish..there wasn't much caught that tournament. It was in the fall two years ago.

Coosa Landing.
I'll be there with my two freshman in an old 86 tracker. Based on our previous visits we'll be happy with 5 over 12"

I normally fish the ragland( ten island launch by the dam) side and usually have decent results this time of year..

My boy and his partner are at Canoe Creek Landing right now. They are fishing the southern end of the lake today and up river tomorrow. They are a white Triton today and tomorrow for practice. I'll be up there tomorrow night with my boat for the tourney.

How long does it take to run from Coosa Landing to the dam down south?

Ohatchee and Gadsden just had a heckuva storm a little while ago...I would expect it to be real dingy to muddy the next couple days....
