Amen! That's perfect.
When we visit stadiums that have a moment of silence instead of prayer, I lead prayer. I'm proud that our high school has a student lead prayer before every home game. We also raise the flag and play the anthem at each home game.
I understand the predicament schools face. I also understand that I'm not bound by those ties.

I always asked if the anthem would be played before walking onto the field. Never tossed anyone before the anthems but I've seen it done. Most haunting was our anthem played on violins bagpipes and one snare drum while the flag was raised upon a pole by active duty Marines.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

The anthem is played at all of our home games. Girls softball and boys baseball fields are side by side. Every time the varsity boys stand for the anthem, the girls stop mid game and face the flag. So do the spectators. We stand for the anthem and pray before, and after, each game with both schools joining around the pitchers mound. Private schools in the Blackbelt and we still get to march to the beat of our own drum.

I'm not sure why some on here are getting bent out of shape over the national anthem not being played before a high school baseball game..... I played hundreds of games growing up and we never had it played...
