I always see my generation calling today's youth, soft. This is a prefect opportunity for that parent to teach some responsibility. If it were my kid he'd work it off and pay to fix it. Not because he did some horrible thing but because actions have consequences and he needs to learn to take responsibility for his actions. Even when it's a simple accident. If he is shielded from the consequences he learns nothing.

This place is getting stale. Almost 2 pages complete and not a single post about going to the dad and KHASB.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Also I’ll add, if my kid comes to your house and something gets broke, then you expect me to pay for it, he’s never coming back. I can’t supervise from my house.
If a kid comes to my house and tears something up and the parent's know & don't offer to make it right, he don't have to worry about coming back. He won't be invited.

Can we get pics of the kids mom before we pass judgment? Finally, someone brings something of use to the discussion!

Your son apologizes to the owner for the damage and you pay for the repairs. This, without a doubt.

Your kid breaks something and you find out, you pay for it. If the kid's old enough to be working and has money and can pay, he or she pays for it. Doing the right thing isn't difficult.
