Might as well stay up now. I'll be headed out in about an hour or so in Marshall county looking to introduce an ol tom to some Longbeard XR. If I can it'll be my first turkey. I've been getting some good pictures the last week or so of 3 longbeards putting on a show.

Me and the boy are gona try and get his galfriend a bird this morning. Her first turkey hunt. Storms have jyst passed. Just a little wind left. Lord bless this hunt. I was laying in bed wallago talking to the Lord, thanking him for blessing us with even the opportunity to take part in such a thing as this, and even more for the opportunity to share it with someone else. Truly a blessing and i wouldnt want to take it for granted.

Amen Walker. I'm setup and waiting to hear the first bird. I've got some good pictures of birds in this field for the past week. Hopefully they'll show up this morning and I'll get a chance at my first one.

Not a bad morning so far for me. I at least got to hear some gobble. Heard 2 way across the neighbors line that I think was one of the birds I went in there to hunt. Roosted on us yesterday them today. Just me luck. I was across the street from where we spooked the bird yesterday but I heard him gobble once this morning so I’m over here in a ground blind listening to thunder rolling in. Gonna wait it out here until the electricity gets too close.

Not a peep for the opening morning in western Winston County. The weather’s been great!! No wind at all and the sun is coming out now. Hopefully, the turkeys will start acting like turkeys soon

Blew it with the first bird. I called, he drummed, one of our phones weathet alert went off. He didnt like that. He was at about 30yds. Strike one. Birds gobbling. Shouldnt be long.
