I live in Scottsboro and there is absolutely no way I would eat 50 taters. Since Los patrillos closed, the only places worth eating are KC’s BBQ and I guess Jefferson’s or buenavista on the highway.
My wife and I got sick off 50 Taters a couple years ago, ain't been back. KC's BBQ sucks IMO as does Mud Creek now. Holy Smokes is pretty fair . Best BBQ now is Tate's , but it's carryout or eat outside on the picnic table. Shorty's has some fine burgers . I hear the new owners of Pikeville have turned it around, but I haven't been there since they took over. I'm always closer to Shorty's anyway.

Geno's used to be decent pizza and wings but I haven't eaten there in several years. There is also a sports bar called Scooter's that has good reviews but I've never eaten there.
