Are we expecting the same kind of hail that happen early this morning?

This will transition into a likely tornado outbreak, hail, damaging straight line winds, and flash flooding. This is not a good scenario for anyone in the path with either of these threats. Not much to choke it out that is apparent at this moment, not predicted to change either until mid morning tomorrow but hopefully that time frame will lessen

Thanks

Ive seen a northerly push, the past hour. I would tell him to have shoes, helmet if possible and a safe place to go quickly. These storms will speed up thru the night. Hes on the boundary line but I'd suggest prepare anyway

If I ever get to build a house…it’ll have a storm room/gun safe built into the center.

I will add that between Southern Autauga down to about southern lowndes maybe a little further south is in a disabled situation tonight. The KMXX radar is down for routine maintenance for this week, this has been scheduled for a long time.

NWS is going to take a little longer to issue a polygon on the storms in this area (thanks to public backlash but I'll discuss that later). They are having to read the cell from the north side thru calera radar, check it from south via mobile and also ozark area radar. Very crippling situation for those areas due to the radar beam being so high due to distance (curvature of the earth).

Folks around wilcox county area are very used to this, we are trying to get some gov funding to fill these radar holes. (contact your representatives) It will save a LOT of lives
