Backpack blower works great

I recently had one cleaned out on our home we sold last month. It was $175

Get enough of it blown in the attic and it's like extra insulation though

Ours goes out the side of the house. I bought the kit with the fiberglass rods that attaches to a drill. After running it as far as I could from the inside, I took the outside flap off & ran it into the house. Then I put the electric leaf blower into the vent behind the dryer & hit the turbo button. Wife was amazed at how much stuff got blown out and had to back off quickly or she would have been covered in lint.

Stays dry and i clean up residual lint occasionally.
The through the roof part was getting completely clogged.
Lint isnt made to float 40+ft through an attic.

The thingy from Amazon y’all have don’t reverse the drill. They do work well.

They sell 12'long ones at Lowes and homepot. They work with a hand drill I used the at my apartment complex . Turn the dryer on

I have the dryer vent kit from Lowes. Has multiple extensions and an adapter that goes on your shop vac hose. That way you can attach vac to one end and run the brush from the other end with a drill. Works very well. Was 20-30 bucks.

You are soooo wrong. Lint, unlike insulation, is highly flammable. No nevermind the amount of moisture being dumped into the attic. There is no situation where that is ok. I understand you may not like the vertical vent cleaning, but that's the completely wrong way to go about that.

Ours vents through the floor, and ran all the way across the back of the house. It was stopped up and I felt it was a fire hazard. So I cut the hose off just below the floor and filter the air with a pair of panty hose. I know it's redneck and father in law inspired. But it's worked for 15 years. I replace the panty hose every couple of months.

Dryers should be on outside walls with a minimal distance to travel. Whoever decided it’s a good idea to vent lint upwards in the middle of the house is an idiot

Funny you should mention that... I had the bright idea to use my gas blower and blow the line out but I didn't want to run the gas blower in the house so I decided to go from the outside in. To catch what small amount of lint would be in the line (so I thought), I moved the dryer away from the wall, disconnected the hose and had my wife hold a plastic garbage bag over the vent. To make matters worse, the outside vent was about 10 ft. up the wall so I had to stand on a ladder to run the blower. Well, I gave the blower a few short bursts and thought one long burst would surely get everything out.
About that time, I hear a blood curdling scream from inside the house and my wife runs outside with 8 years worth of dryer lint and dust on her face and in her hair. She was not happy and accused me of doing the whole thing on purpose. Meanwhile, I'm laughing so hard I'm afraid I'm going to fall off the ladder, blower and all. Not one of my finer days but I will say the line was cleaned out.

Well...... as per usual, my effort to save some money will end up costing me more. The 90 right below the dryer is that old galvanized venting material. Anyway, it must have collected some moisture over the years and rusted. The cleaning rod wasn't coming out of the vent outside. That's when I noticed that it was going through the rusted spot on the 90. Now, I'll have to cut the hard ceiling in the basement, replace the 90, AND clean it out when I get done.....
