He booked us a guided trip and we had a great day and lost count of how many fish we caught. Lots of crappie, also caught a bunch of white bass along with a couple spots and 1 big drum. Ran a spider rig up front with 4 rods with minnows on dropshot rigs, which was great for my buddy’s son…kept him pretty busy trying to keep up with them. Meanwhile my buddy and I were wearing them out on minnows and dock shooting jigs. kids also got to do a little fishing from the dock at our cabin and caught a few bass. I know a couple people in previous threads asked who we were planning on going with, so I wanted to give our guide a shoutout. We went with Homad Khandaghabadi of Coosa River Outfitters and I wouldn’t hesitate to go out with him again. Now, if you’re looking for a guide that pulls up in a fancy $80k pickup truck, wearing head to toe Aftco and pulling a brand new $100k bass boat, this is not your guy. But don’t let his name fool you…Homad is a good ol boy Georgia redneck and he will flat out put you on some fish. Easily the single best day of fishing I’ve ever experienced.
