So I have a new stainless blr in 270 win., I also have a new bar safari in 300 win mag, I’m gonna sell one of em to fund something else, I really can’t keep both, I know that’s prob what your thinking, lol, but which would y’all keep to hunt with at 300 yards or less would be my longest shot

I never liked a 300 mag, but the 270 is my go to. To me, it really isn't much to think about. I wish I had a BLR in 270, mine is a 308 and I have never put a round in it. The 270 is one of the best rounds that has ever been developed.

270 all the way.

I can't stand a thief.

270….no belts needed to kill deer at any range….then again, a semi has semi advantages. I just like BLRs.

I'd stick with the 270 blr.

If you don't already like one so much it's not a question, then sell both and try again. I wouldn't be interested in either of those.

I wouldn't tote anything with Mag stamped on the barrel for Whitetails in Alabama.

My BLR is a .308 from the first year of the modern style and configuration (1981, Miroku Factory), and of course [leans back and rubs prodigious belly in a self-assured, know-it-all manner] I *am* something of an accomplished and talented hunter . . . .

Keep the 270 based on the limited information you posted.
Easier to find and cheaper ammo, plenty adequate at 300 yards on North American game, less recoil to deal with (although I’m not sure how much being there is a big difference in these two guns).

For me it wouldn't even be close. I'd keep the 270 which is just about perfect for whitetails in Alabama. A 300 win mag kicks more, ammo costs more, ammo is less available at stores, and in return for all that offers absolutely no important advantage over a 270 on deer out to 300 yards.
