Several yrs ago the church I was working for bought a fleet of them for their hourly maint people. Within 6 months they all had been replaced with full sized pickups. The bed is too small as well as the cab for carrying much inside.

Ask rebelpiper on here about his Colorado. He was so happy to get rid of it that he wore his skirt to get a full sized Z71. Seriously, they are known for their issues from my second had information.

Tacoma. You'll never regret it. Come time to sell or trade it will be 5 times the Colorado.

The company I work for HAD quite a few Colorado's in our fleet. We bought 8-10 of them NEW in 2008, but very few of them are still around. We are a little bit rough on our trucks, but they are regularly maintenanced and don't really have that hard of a life. These Colorado's don't compare to ANY other trucks we have in our fleet (we also have full-size Chevy's, Ford's, and Toyota's). They haven't lasted, and to be honest, are some of the most uncomfortable pieces of junk I've ever ridden in...most of them are WORN OUT before they reach 100k miles.

I would not drive a new Government Motors if they gave me one.

Wow... Common denominator in every post is, drum roll please, " don't get one". I'll go to.the Toyota dealership tomorrow and tell them they owe aldeer.com a new truck for all of the advertising. Thanks for the imput fellas

A friend of mine had one and hated it. Gas mileage was no better than a full size, no room in the bed, no room in the front and no power under the hood.

Yeah never imagined it'd get this response. All of the reviews online are pretty positive other than some mechanical issues. Knew we could turn the aldeer brethren for the real truth

My wife drives a 05 4dr 4x4 with the 5cly engine. Just before the warranty went out the engine dropped a valve. Dealer replaced it with a new engine at no cost. The best MPG she has got is 20mpg. I replaced the heater core a few months ago myself after I was quoted $1700 to replace it.

Also the ac/heater blower fan has a wiring problem and the fan quit working on a few speeds. I replaced the harness with a new style harness. This was caused from a bad ground near the air filter on the inside fender well.

The window on the drivers side quit working and when checking that I found the bolts that hold the regulator in place were missing or loose. That caused the window motor to bind up and broke the mounting bracket.

When this one is gone I will not ever have another one.
