Clover, chicory and peas. And I burned about 60 acres. About as good as it gets.

I dont know how much truth there is to it but I watched a video where a guy had a gravity feeder and fed his deer alfalfa pellets and corn mixed 50/50 and he claimed this was way better and cheaper than any store bought deer protein. I know my wife has bought alfalfa pellets from tractor supply for her horse before by the 20lb bag but I cant remember how much she paid for it.

They are good people I buy a lot of corn from him. You are feeding the game changer I believe and my deer liked it when I was feeding protein.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

On the ag fields it depends on the farmer but we have several 2 to 3 acre plots we plant clover, chicory and run our planter without sweeps on it for the peas. We save seed out of our garden each year to plant peas for the deer. We have a feed mill/chrusher we had for cows, we use it to mix soybeans, corn, and goat pellets. Yes it cost to feed but i enjoy it. Our browse around the river seems to be enough but i guess it makes me feel like i am helping

I ran a test ground plot with plain corn vs a corn protein mix (they said the pellets were peanut and soybeans). Deer rarely touched the mix but coyotes seemed rather fond of it.

I run 2 small corn feeders on the opposing ends of the property, but just to keep tabs on everyone, see who's cruising around. Our acreage has small food plots, hinged hardwoods and feed stumps that I use to supplement browse. I'll start another mineral stump here soon, that's a mix of calcium, salt and trace minerals. Helps the does produce more milk and help antler growth, and I also use that to see who's in the area and how development of fawn and bucks are coming along.
