Had an interesting test result. This runs hereditary on my dads side and mine always runs mid 2 hundreds to 3 and use a statin or however u spell it. Was sick with a cold about a month ago and took vitamins B, D3, C, Zinc and ivermectin and was better in a few days just a little lingering cough that’s gone now. I decided to keep taking this every other day just for keeping my system up. Had to have blood work done around this time and cholesterol was 160. Never has been this low and my good cholesterol was up significantly. Doctor asked what I was doing different and I told him nothing other than what I was taking for cold. All he said was interesting keep doing it and gonna come off statin about a month before next one a see what it is. I’ll report back my findings. He said maybe it’s the combination or the other and wants to see.

You're doctor has probably been giving you bad advice on cholesterol. Most doctors don't have the time to keep up with literature, and give outdated and unhealthy diet recommendations. You should eat animal fat, our health has been declining ever since we started restricting it from our diet. Statins aren't necessary for the vast majority of people, and are quite harmful.

It’s likely the zinc. Zinc has been shown to lower cholesterol. I’m young and have borderline high cholesterol due to genetics. I’ve started drinking kombucha due to it being shown to lower cholesterol. I’ll likely add zinc in as well.

Same for me KK. Not long after COVID started my SIL (physician) said to make sure I was taking a regimen of vitamins, as that could help if I contracted COVID. So I started talking a daily multivitamin, B12, C, D, Zinc and fish oil daily. For the past 10 years my cholesterol has ranged between 230 and 260. When I had my physical in 2021 it had dropped to 190 and last year it was 193. My HDL has slightly improved too. I was never able to take the statin class of medications for very long, as they made my legs ache something awful. I also take Black Seed Oil daily to help keep my skin in tiptop shape.

Fact is cholesterol might eventually kill you, cholesterol meds might eventually kill you. Choose one. Personally, i chose to eat better and leave the pills in the pill store. Unnecessary meds are killing alot of people in America, then theres the millions of addicts that dont even realize they are addicts. But the doctor said to do it so its ok

I’m not sure either way like I said I accidentally stumbled into this and don’t think it’s a coincidence. As I said mine has never been that low. Actually never below 200. I’ll know in a month or so. Might be a case of the statin makes more money and there’s the cheaper alternative. Either way the next one should tell it.

I hope you can stay off of it, the vitamins are definitely better for you than the cholesterol meds

Exactly. Some things in you are hereditary. I take a statin and no longer have high cholesterol. I’ve lost seventy pounds and eat rabbit food and still have high cholesterol. I feel fine about it because I’ve never put illegal drugs or abused alcohol in my life. So there’s that.

Eating rabbit food is probably why you need statins. Red meat is good for you, just not when in the form of a cheeseburger served with fries soaked in vegetable oil and a sugary drink.

There are people dropping dead every day for unexplained reasons cough couch the vax, that their doctors recommended to them whole heartedly.

People took remdesivir that their docs recommended and it shut down their kidneys and they died.

How many docs do you think actually look at and read the clinical data on the drugs they prescribe?

But yeah I need to trust them.

The vitamin D may be helping. Even if not, it offers a lot of health benefits, and most doctors recommend against eating foods rich in vitamin D.

Supplements help, but it's better to get your nutrition from food. Food has a better bio-availability, so your body will take more of it in. I'm pale as chit and spend a lot of time outdoors, so I'm good on vitamin D lol.

This is the stupidest thing ive ever heard

I'd like to know why it's the stupidest thing you've ever heard.

1. Are you saying doctors don't get kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies? They do, it's a fact. Not trying to bash individual doctors, but that's how the industry works.
2. Do you think doctors are never wrong? Does the fancy science learning transcend them beyond humanity into perfect beings? If so, I'm a chemical engineer, and food are chemicals. You should blindly follow everything I say lol.

A few questions you should ask yourself. Not trying to be mean, just noticed the following applies to most people who think what I said is stupid.

1. Are you overweight?
2. Do you have health issues? A few examples are high blood pressure/cholesterol, diabetes, acid reflux, sleep apnea, and depression. These conditions are almost always treatable with diet and exercise, but doctors prefer drugs over actual health.
3. How many drugs are you prescribed? Have you ever looked into their side effects? Have you ever been prescribed a drug to treat side effects of another drug?
4. Have you ever questioned your doctor? If yes, did he instantly dismiss what you said and treat you like an idiot?
5. Despite recent advances in medical technology over the past few decades, as a whole we have become far less healthy. Why is that?

Maybe none of this applies to you. If not, then keep doing what you're doing. You should realize not everyone has a doctor as good as yours, and there is no one size fits all approach to healthy living, despite what doctors say.
