Funny thing is... It's not an Aretha Franklin song, it was written by Carol King and Gerry Goffin. Back in the day almost all the famous Motown songs were written by a bunch of Jewish kids in a place called the Brill Building in New York City. It was basically a sweatshop of music writing. Lots of famous song writers came out of there.

I'll be Carol King is liberal that supports Transgenders, the same ones who are trying to get her song banned. For that matter I'll be Aretha is a life long Democrat too.

I just don't understand the cancel culture. If I don't like something, I just don't watch it, listen to it, shop at it, etc. I do not go out of my way to shut it down.

It is just utterly ridiculous! That would be like me (a straight caucasian woman) getting all rattled over a song that celebrates a natural man. Heck, I prefer a "natural man"!!

The problem is that they want to cancel everything conservative. This is a direct attack on conservatism and therefore we are in a battle whether we want to acknowledge it or not. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that, or maybe not necessarily conservativism but pretty close. Prayers are the best way to combat it, but we should also take time to not support or condone their attacks on us even if it's an inconvenience. Hit them in the bank account by doing the same thing they do to conservative owned businesses and simply don't buy their products or services they are peddling. It's near impossible to completely boycott them but we can each make a little dent in their bottom line. Enough dents and they're in the red. If they're in the red they are not donating much to programs and politicians that are against us.

I know, I'm a broken record but that's just the way I be.
