Well the wife got off work a lil early and I was already in the woods. She said she was goin so got all gussied up and went. She text me and told she was settled in. We text back and forth for a lil bit. And I hadn't heard from her in a bit. Then she texted and asked if I had saw anything to that I replied no. Then she asked if would mess me up to come out early and drag the one out she just shot. She killed a decent 8 pt that was up wandering around and walked out in front of the wrong one. Her and that 7mm-08 did the job.

Sat a firebreak the deer had been crossing pretty heavy. 5:10pm a doe crosses at a brisk pace. I get my rifle up a Buck starts crossing at about 175 yards. I whistle at him, he stops, and I shoot. Dropped him luckily. I’m sitting there excited and not 30 seconds later 2 small bucks, one a spike, coke out and lock horns over the dead bucks for about a minute. They run off and then a basketcase walks out and stares at the dead buck for a minute. All this in the span of 3 minutes. Been a slow year for me, more deer seen today than I’ve seen all year!

Best part is the Buck was the bigger one I had been seeing on camera, I guess him being at 175 yards I didn’t realize it or else I would have been shaking
