The new Meopta Meosport scope is a good +/-30 min deer scope. We tested it on a 3-D deer and some antlers put down in the woods. Made it a couple minutes past legal with us in the open and the deer maybe forty yards into the woods. Also the scope will show 6.5mm bullet holes at a 100 yards no problem. That's not really interesting.

The scope comes with rings. Reviews I saw before buying one didn't show how nice the rings are. The marks on the rings match them up. The scope has a white line on the bottom that matches a white line on one of the rings. Instant level reticle. I spent more degreasing the screws and rings than actually mounting the scope.

The rings are perfect for ARs, tacticool bolt actions and are a popular height for styles of rifles they use in other countries.

The gun in the picture is a 6.5G AR. I put it on a scale with loaded mag. 7.4# total. With a lighter scope and Aero cantilever it was 6.9#.

I agree, the MeoSport rings will work great on an AR style rifle but are to tall for what most of us use on standard bolt action rifles.

Looks like Crimson Trace is trying, too. Money and time saver.
