Have any y’all ever had a member that you get a feeling is trying to be sneaky on things . I got one that’s always asking weird questions, some about hunting and some just weird.
Well today I see a post on Facebook of an ex member a picture of a patch he’s hunting and commented he was in same town as club . I recognize the patch and send it to my hunting partner and he agrees pictures of the patch I think it is . . This guy is friends with our sneaky member. Picture was posted on same day as sneaky was up there but says he was alone? Sneaky didn’t really break any rules by bringing him but why wouldn’t he not say he was there and hunting as his guest.
This makes me wonder what else he does. I’ve been out all year and haven’t been up there in several months. My partner has been out a lot also due health problems. Sneaky has called me once since I been away but called me this week and checked on me . Now I wondering was it to check on me or check on who was going to be up there?

Nope. I've been hunting with the same group of people for the past 15 years. We keep no secrets, we call to check on each other, tomorrow we will send each other a Merry Christmas text.

Owning land is expensive and a massive burden, but better than hunt club drama.

I hav had members in here ask direct questions about where I hunt - I think one guy was being helpful - not sure on the other. I still talk to one of the guys by pm - not the other. My experience has been - if people can get your spot - they gladly will and not care what happens to u - all about self

He's trying to gps you. I don't talk much about where I hunt or what I've seen or heard, as stated above it only bites you

Was in one club where one guy would shoot a less then what the rules were buck and sneak him out of there. He would say he got called into work or some mess but he got busted then told on himself for several others trying to be honest and stay in the club. I had guys sit around and you think they were your buddies and mention the sighting of a big deer and they would beat you to the sign out log and go hunt there trying to kill the buck. There was some that would take off work and come hunt during the week and shoot whatever they saw and come back on the weekends and tell on themselves of what they had been seeing during the week but never signed anything out

You never really know what kind of man a man is until you hunt with him.

Reverse psychology, tell them you are seeing deer where you don't.

I’ve always said the blood of Jesus covers a multitude of sins, except those committed by hunters. You better be careful who you hunt with. It can bite you.

I let a buddy hunt with me a few years ago and I gave him a key to the place, the gates and my shed, I told him he and his son could hunt it anytime, after a few weeks he told me his father in law said you can work with a guy for 30 years and not know him but hunt with him a few weeks and you know him a lot better..

Another reason I don’t hunt in clubs anymore. Too much bull goes on and the cost of being in a decent one now ain’t doing nothing but going up. Before long u gonna have to add another 2 grand to those 2000 dollar clubs and put up with the same things. I understand a few have good club situations but those are few and far between.

This is why people say all fisherman lie the same goes to deer hunting. I was in a club 41 years an it was the same. I fished and hunted but I never could tell the lie but when I quit hunting from a stand they quit following me. The people I showed how to catch fish the same way. I couldn't lie but if you can DO IT.

yes we have had a few people that hunt hunters more than deer . sneaky is one , another one was my partners cousin . we have catfished a few by letting them over here us talking about a big buck .if they went there it was a gar hole. the one was worst if he found your spot he would tell everyone. the first surgery i had in 2008 that started my current problems put me out for around 10 weeks . he knew where one of my stand was at and i had killed several good bucks off it. when i came back i went to my stand figuring it would be fresh after being gone 10 weeks but when i went in i saw candy and snack wrappers and even a live round someone lost. one of my buddys that was new to club said he told them a good place to go hunt and gave him directions to my stand . he didnt know we were friends ,my buddy told me but it was to late for that stand that year.

I got permission to turkey hunt a big tract that bordered lake Martin once, still act like I do, where you’re supposed to text the other folks that hunt it and send pics when you kill on the place. The place was a zoo even though I was the only one killing. I quit sending texts and started hunting via canoe once I figured out no one else on the group could kill a turkey
