Does anybody have a recipe for cooking a tenderloin and some potatoes in a crockpot??? My wife did something like that last year and it turned out amazing. But she can’t find the recipe and don’t remember what she did. I’ve googled it but didn’t really find anything like I was looking for.

salt, black pepper, garlic, cajun seasoning of choice is what i would do to it.

Add some butter or bacon fat too.

I actually did a couple deer tenderloins like a MS roast and I thought it was good.

Please!! For the Love!! Do not show a tender loin a crockpot. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal. I know it’s unethical!

Well here is what I ended up doing. Put the tenderloins in the crockpot. Put salt, pepper, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, and some bbq butt rub. Then 1/2 cup water, cream of mushroom and a packet of Lipton onion soup mix. Cooked on low 6 hours and served over rice. Man talk about something fine. My wife and I ate our fill and then my son and a friend of his stopped by and finished it off. Will definitely do this again.

Sounds good but you can use roasts out of hams/shoulders/neck etc for that and not waste those delicious tenderloins

Tenderloins are for Smokin and grillin, no crockpot!

IMO, deer tenderloin don’t have enough fat in it to slow cook. Grill it on high heat to rare/med rare at the most. Slice it thin, maybe make a red wine reduction sauce for it. Sometimes I’ll put a deer ham in the crockpot and pull it like a pork butt. But even then it’s so dry you have to add bbq sauce to it to eat it on a sandwich.
