I had a buck one time as I was walking in to where I was going to bowhunt jump up and disappear. I knew he didn't run away from me as that was swamp and I would have heard him running through the water. There was a lot of River Cane between us. He finally came to an opening and I could see him doing what I can only describe as low crawling back towards the way I came. Nothing I could do but watch and be impressed by his survival instincts. After he got what he thought was far enough away, he got up and took off.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Watched a horny spike mount a doe on her head. She promptly flipped him over her shoulders.

I watched a deer and a turkey square off, but neither wanted to get after it.

I watched a buck throw a dog about 7-8 yards in the air. Not a little dog either it was a full grown German shepherd

I shot a big buck 2 years ago in the middle of the rut. I tracked that deer for somewhere around near 4 miles with a dog. It felt like we found enough blood to fill a 5 gallon bucket. We started at somewhere around 1500ft and ended the track 1000ft lower. From the very top of the mountain to the very bottom. The blood ran out and we never did find the deer. I think the feel fell off in a sink hole.

I was amazed at how much GO that deer had in it after being blasted by a 300win mag.

You could shoot me in the leg with a BB gun and I’m not going the distance that deer went.

The first good buck I ever killed with my bow was hanging out in a bachelor group and was sparring with some of the others when I put an arrow through his boiler room. I loaded him up and took him to the sign in board to weigh and check him in. The club president's son takes one look at the deer and says "that is the same buck I shot on Tuesday!" I shot him on Saturday the same week. He had called in a dog and they had jumped and run the deer for close to a mile where he crossed the Perdido River into Alabama and they had to quit.. Sure enough, there was a hole in the buck high in the back where his arrow had passed through. That deer was none the worse for that previous arrow pass through and was the dominant buck in that group.

Had a doe follow about 10 steps behind me for over an hour in the Oakmulgee WMA one time during a muzzleloader hunt. She stayed in my same path and every time I’d stop she would. When I made it to the bottom I was going to hunt I sat beside a tree and she just stood there watching me for a good while. She finally got bored and walked off. I never saw her again.
This was in the middle of the NF with no houses around.

I was sitting on the ground, leaning against a tree, in south Louisiana, in the early 90's when a doe walked up. When she got about 10' away she noticed something wasn't right with me. Wind was in my face, I was in full camo including face mask. She thumped the ground and false charged me for several minutes getting within 3-4' of me. She eventually walked off to my left. Having one that close, at eye level, false charging, for that long, is still the coolest thing I've ever experienced in the woods.

We were duck hunting lake gunterville or whatever you folks up there call it and there was a six point that swam the widest part of the river/ lake. It took him about 20 minutes to swim the whole place. I haven’t never seen anything like that

I shot a big eight point one afternoon in the rain chasing a doe. I knew I hit the deer but didn’t see him fall so I ran down to where I shot him to look for blood before it got washed away. As I was standing there looking for blood I hear a deer grunting. I turn around and there’s a nice buck running straight at me. He to about 6-8ft from me and stopped. I was pointing my gun at him not knowing if he was gonna charge me or what. I stepped back a few steps off the trail and he puts his nose back to the ground and takes off past me in hot pursuit of the doe. When he ran by I held my gun out and the barrel touched his back when he trotted by me. That was an adrenaline rush.

Watched two bucks fight in front of our cabin at Miller’s Ferry. One of the bucks drove the other buck into the side of my brother’s truck.

I wouldn't call this cool...maybe crazy. I shot a doe years ago with a .30-.30. She was across a deep ravine from me. I dropped her with the shot, and she rolled all the way down into the bottom of the ravine...at least a 70 yard roll to the bottom. She came to rest on her back with all four legs in the air. I'm still in my climber 8-10 minutes later, and I hear some noise down in the ravine where the doe had "died". When I turned my head and looked, that doe had stood back up and ran straight back up the hill out of the ravine and disappeared. I got down and walked over to where she had been lying "dead". No blood, no blood going back up the hill where she ran away. I walked up and looked all over that area. I never found her.

I was a driver on a dog drive. Dogs were working real close in front of me and jumped a couple of does and left out of the bottom. As I am standing there listening for them to cross the standers up ahead, I spotted a small buck still bedded down, with his chin stretched out on the ground. He had held cover and avoided the dogs who were clearly distracted by the running does. Thought that was a pretty smart move.

My buddy back in Texas shot a nice trophy buck. Besides the nice set of horns, it had a .22 hole in one ear where someone had tried to poach it.

I watched an 8 point belly crawl under the bottom wire on a 4 strand barbed wire fence. Laid his head back to clear his antlers and scooted under. Don't know why he didn't jump it? Anyway, I shot him as soon as he stood up on my side of the fence...lol called the neighbor and told him the story. He got me back several years later as he shot a really nice 12 point as soon as it landed on his side of the fence about 20 yrds from where I killed the 8.
