Anyone seen rut signs yet? The 19th in Zone A, I bumped 3 does then saw another doe 30 min later. The 20th, in same spot, was sitting about 30 min, then stood up cos I was going to cut a few branches down in my vision, and the 3 does had walked up behind me to my right and I didn't see them till they took off lol. Both days not a buck around, haven't seen any rubs, just a few light scrapes. However, that first day, at about my 10 o'clock, I hear this sound over on the ridge in front of me. In this video the guy is making the same sounds I was hearing @ 2:05 - 2:40. Then this sound moved on to about 12, then about 30 min later it was over at 3. If it was in fact a buck he was walking across the entire top of the mountain in front of me and traveled a long way making the call. I really wasn't sure if it was a deer since I don't recall ever hearing this sound. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ihu4jLCV9j0In second video you can barely hear it over background but it's an actual deer not the hunter as in first video. It's like a long drawn out grunt at a steady tone lasting maybe 5 seconds each time. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsG9-6MxCyELearned something new I want sure about.
