I've found a handful over the years. Most have been around old home sites. If I ever see a Nandina or China Berry in the middle of nowhere I'm always vigilant and stay away from any low spots. I also always carry a stick capable of supporting my weight if I'm in one of these areas. This happens all the time all over the country. If you happen to come across one on public land please report it.

I found one on Pelham Range where Nat Guard soldiers train. I flagged the mess out of it and report it to range safety. They didnt know it was there but they had guys training through that area the week before I got there.
