How much is a M1 Garand worth? I have a one I might part with just not sure of current value?

All over the map…pics, year, manufacturer, providence? Low end wore out hodge podges at the CMP are selling for nearly $1000 now. Look up some of the auction sights….a buddy I work with got in a bidding war on some early tiger striped matching numbers Winchester and he wasn’t gonna spend any more than $2000 (which I thought was crazy to begin with) and he got up to almost $3000 before he got outbid last second. It’s a special breed of gun nut.

A friend of my dads who worked out at the depot bought a M1D sniper model for a few hundred bucks back in the 90s and they are going for many thousands of dollars now. Good investment when they were plentiful.

There are different grades of Garands also do all the numbers match. Rack grade without matching numbers would be $1000 to $1500

So many variables.war time vs post war.winchester Will bring the most money and how correct it is far as matching brand period correct parts.
CMP rifle? What manufacturer reciever, barrel and stock?

So how much is a war era gun with numbers that match and can still shoot?

It can be like a calculus problem figuring out what you have and what its worth.

My buddy is sitting on two Winchester's that he made correct and he claims them to be worth $3000 a piece
Both of mine are h&r but I wanted mint condition shooters.i got lucky and found one with lmr barrel and could be original barrel.the ones highly desired in the NM shoots.the other has late model Springfield barrel it's a shooter also
