I've told my wife for years that the easiest way to sell her is mark it up 50% then put a sign over it that says 30% off.

I always google any black friday deal before i buy. It might be 50% off at one place but you look on Amazon and its regular price is less than the site you are looking ats black friday price. Make sure its a deal before you buy.

As a retailer, that's just Biden inflation.
I put a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers (3rd set) on my truck Saturday
2018 set cost $269 ea.
2020 Set cost $279 ea.
2022 Set cost $379 ea. A lot of retailers have also been using inflation as an excuse to over-price many things when they did not have to. But thats just business anyway which is why smart consumers shop and keep up with pricing.

Bare in Mind, I am a fairly large Tire dealer and those prices reflect my COST. Its hard to explain to a customer who buys a set of tires every couple of years from you that that same tire has gone up $400 per set. Well that explains a lot … I was about to ask you where you bought tires bc my ridge grapplers were way more than $279 in 2020.

I worked at Bass Pro for a bit and did the price changes. It used to piss me off. Everything that was going to be on sale in the Fall Hunting Classic we marked up in June, then when it went on sale most of the time it would still be more expensive than it was in back in June.
