I’ve got the batteries I need a box and cords for them. And solar panels. Had them out couple years ago and I guess a coon chewed up the wires

I grabbed a kit for one of my Moulties. Wanted a cam left out all year after elk season closes in a specific area, hoping BIG guy comes by Dec-Mar before antlers drop.
A solar panel would be useless here since it's pretty much rainy all year and the woods canopy are too dense. Herd 360 should have some cords you can order.

I use Spartan cams and most of them are the 6v models, but I do have 2 12v and I've switched over to the lithium/solar all-in-one units that herd360 sells. They aren't cheap, but it's the simplest setup you could want and basically set it up and never have to worry about it again as long as it gets a little sun everyday. They will work with the 6v cams too, but I've had those longer and have good battery/solar setups for most of those. I will over time replace those with these setups most likely as well.

This! Solar panel with integrated battery is only way to go imo.

Here
I run all of my cameras on external batteries. Batteries are stored in a plastic ammo case. Cameras run all season. Some of my cords are cut off from old laptop battery chargers then I wired them with terminals. Other cords I have ordered online.

If you have a tactacam or spartan it takes a 1.7mm yellow tip dc plug. Amazon has them for about 10 dollars. If you buy a solar battery combo on amazon by winghome it will come with extra power cords you can use on diy stuff.

I wired 4x 6v’s into an ammo can. I usually get a full season out of them on my Spartan with it sending pics after every image taken.

Same here. A lot of thrift stores have power cables for 99 cents. You just need the right barrel end that fits the camera. Cut the other end off and attach proper connectors to fit your battery.
