Thought I had caught all of them, but saw 7-9 this evening which had moved in and torn up our freshly planted fields.
Like always, the trapping never ends.

On that trap, do you use the net like a pig brig? Looks like you combined the idea of a pig brig with a panel trap?

When is the BBQ?

I had a metal gate with root stick. Once it closed anything outside the pen couldn't go in.

I've been tinkering with a 350lb baseball safety net, folded over itself and then tied with 750lb para cord in place of the metal gate.














I'm still perfecting the method.

That modification is awesome! Where did you get the baseball netting?

It hasn’t been perfect. Some hogs once the corn was gone couldn’t figure how to get in the trap. Some of that is my own fault, thus the tweeks to getting it to be perfect.

eBay is where I got the netting - 10’ X 25’ heavy duty baseball netting- 2” nylon netting 1 7/8” #36 - 350 Lb

That was the Highest rated lb I could find for a net, so doubling it should theoretically be 700lbs but it does make it heavier to have to go under and push through to get in the trap.

I’m going to lift it up some more, as I don’t think I need that much of a tail/flap inside the trap.

BOFF, you might try Memphis Net & Twine Co. I’m not saying they are any cheaper or heavier, but they can dip their net webbing so they last a few years longer.

This is a great idea! What is the diameter of the trap?

If I set the trap up in a perfect circle the diameter is 17.8 feet.
