Well boys the little model 7 .308 set up appears to be a perfect setup for a young feller. My youth hunter shot it this morning for the second time and so far it is 100% on kills. Both deer went Less than 20 yards combined after the shot. It must be a unicorn cause I read here killing deer with 150 gr .308 was not possible.

Congratulations to the little guys . I've got the same exact gun I bought on here. My son loves it. I'm going to take off a vx1 and replace it with a vx6 and I'll hunt with it myself.

At what range do you zero in the scope for the custom cds to work properly. I’m thinking of getting this scope

Is the vx3hd glass alot clearer than vx-3i ?

You can do any range but I do 100 for the guns I’m going to get the CDS dial that way you pretty much have all distances covered.

Nice deer too !

These are great scopes but don’t put too much much confidence into the CDS.

Tracking is the weak link in an otherwise great “set it and forget it” scope.
