Gunslinger stands are super comfortable, but a pain to tote, and put on the tree. And the bottom section sure will shimmy down a tree if it ain't tied to the top section. Had to get down by hugging a pine several years ago.

I always used my Summit Goliath facing the tree during rifle season. I just folded the chair back underneath the seat.
