Osage posts like that one only have a 40 yr life span, and Oaks like that one grow a lot faster than you might think they would. Yes, I figure this stuff out for a living. I've got Osage orange posts on my place that are a minimum of 75 yrs old and solid as a rock, some even in low wet spots
