Looking to buy an AR 350 legend. I don't know much about them and not interested in building one. Who sales the best complete set up to get into the AR platform? Ive looked at the bear creek arsenal guns and they seem to be reasonably priced, but im sure there are some quality manufactures out there that i haven't heard of. Also would be a plus if i could get locally instead of having to ship, ive never dealt with the FFL transfer before. Other than having to wait a few days for shipping, the FFL transfer process is the same whether they have it in stock or your order it online. You fill out your 4473, you wait for approval, then you take your firearm home.

Palmetto state has good guns, also might look at smith n Wesson

CMMG make a fine rifle. However I have the 16” BCA 350 Legend and it’s very impressive how well it shoots. Next to my AR 7.62x39, the legend has quickly become one of my favorite of all the AR calibers I have. It loves the 180gr Winchester soft points.

I’ve had to send all 3 Bear creek uppers I bought, back to bear creek….all over out of spec chambers and bad throats. To their credit, they replaced them fast. Most folks would never realize there was an issue with that, though…..unless they loaded, used suppressors, or really inspected. I’ve had to fix some QC assembly issues on all three, as well, but that’s not uncommon on most mid tier ARs on occasion, either. I really think it depends on which batch of illegals they’re cycling through the assembly line at that point…..the cartel groups probably assemble stuff better.

Im looking for a hunting gun for the kids/wife and also just for target practice. Opinion on barrel length, twist, side vs rear charging action? Anything else to look at and also to minimize recoil. Get a 16” 350 legend. Put a quality optic on it and go hunting. No recoil, straight shooter and lots of good choices in ammo. I shoot the Winchester 180gr soft points in mine and it’s rough on deer and hogs. Not to mention that ammo is real easy to come by and reasonably priced.

PSA is a good starter. I really like my Springfield for a few hundred more.
