Anyone know anything about the Brown Mfg model 560 rotory cutter. I found one I am going to look at and can't find much online about them. I can find parts but can not find any other information.

Brown is top notch, made in Ozark, AL. https://www.brownmfgcorp.com/edit: I'm guessing that is an older model they obviously don't make anymore, but I wouldn't be afraid to buy anything brown if it is in good shape.

I have a 7ft Brown in my inventory and it is a beast for that weight class.

Brown equipment is great and so are the folks that own/work there. I would call them and tell them you have some questions about the model and they will tell you what you need to know. Mine is from 2009 and the model is not made anymore but they still have all the parts for it and they are easy to deal with. You can go to their place in Ozark or they will ship directly to you and cut out having to go through a dealer if you need something. Can't get that kind of service from Deere or other brands.

Anyone know anything about the Brown Mfg model 560 bush hog. I found one I am going to look at and can't find much online about them. I can find parts but can not find any other information. Not trying to be an ass so please take this the right way, in fact it is a badge of honor for us here in Selma to have the propriety name, but Brown does not make Bush Hogs. They make rotary cutters. Only Bush Hog in Selma makes Bush Hogs. I worked there one summer while out of school so if you have a 30 year old Bush Hog with a bad gear box, it may be my fault. LOL Oddly enough, while my dad was Chief of Shore Patrol in Corpus Christi TX, he did some moonlighting on weekends as the night security at Brown, where they made Rotary Cutters. This was probably 50 years ago. Both Brown and Bush Hog make quality equipment. Like I said, not being an ass, but just tooting the Selma horn which doesn't have much to toot about these days.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Was also told recently that they currently make 3-4 cutters there under different labels

They are one of the best mowers. I have a 6ft and was cutting saplings with it yesterday. I wouldn't try it with my other bushhogs. They aren't an exceptionally large facility and don't do much in the of advertising. I've picked up parts for mine direct, they were very helpful and knowledgeable. Kind of a mom and pop manufacturer.

Guess the people of Selma have to have something to be snobby about, although I'm not sure slapping together a bunch of Chinese components is really all that special these days. Nope, the fab work is still done in Selma.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
