We need a list of Processors that are participating. I always have donated a deer or several to the Feed the Hungry programs.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

https://www.outdooralabama.com/site...R%20Webpage%20List%20of%20Processors.pdfHere is the list of the 12 processors who used the hunters helping the hungry program last season. Most of which are in the northern part of the state. Their allotments are listed here also, although only one processor fulfilled their amount. This year, from my understanding, there are only 10 processors involved. Venison Provisions just got word yesterday that the ALDCNR will have a 10,000 pound allotment, and we plan to fill that! We plan to travel to numerous walk in coolers throughout the state to pick up donated deer, so if you (or a friend) have one available, fill it with gutted deer and call us to schedule a pick up! If your local processor can't take it, check with us before ditching it. https://710keel.com/deer-meat-donated-to-shreveport-shelter-destroyed-by-state-health-inspectors/And here is the story about the meat being destroyed. https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-69bnu-12db614And here is the link to the interview from Monday with Joey Clark, starts at around the 10 minute mark. Thanks for the encouragement y'all!! As always, I welcome your thoughts and advice!

As far as meat not being used. In the old days, with Cotton Nichols as Sheriff, the Dallas County jail took all deer, gutted or not, whether killed in season or on a crop depredation permit, out of season. The inmates gutted and cleaned the deer and were glad to have the meat to eat. They loved it. Of course this saved Cotton's food budget money, which legally he got to pocket any left over money. It was a win/win for everyone. The hunters, the inmates and the Sheriff. Now it would be illegal on three fronts. First the meat has to be USDA inspected, secondly, Sheriffs don't get to pocket excess food money anymore, and thirdly, Crop depredation permit deer have to be left in the field (this may have been the case back then anyways but Cotton didn't care about silliness such as that). Just another example of bureaucrats overruling common sense.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Whack you sound just like a guy I used to work with. He wanted me to kill him a deer and care by the processor and then pay the processing fee for him. He asked me one day if I pick that deer up. I said no you haven’t paid the processing fee so the deer is still there with your name and phone number on it. Needless to say he never got a deer. Never look a gift horse in the mouth. Sounds like a smart guy lol
