I'm in the market and torn. I would like to hear some pros and cons. More than one will hold 6 and one will hold 3.

Will track deer in Marengo, Greene, Sumter, Wilcox, Perry, Hale counties.

The 3 seater will actually hold 5 and the 6 seater will hold 8 grin

The two row is so much more versatile. If you bring two buddies you’ll need two rows. Grown men aren’t going to want to ride 3 deep.

Only the crews for us. Always family and friends wanting to ride and look. For hunting the regular would do most of the time.

I get to ride on a bunch of different ones during hunting season and the new Kawasaki Mule is probably my favorite.....Those things are quiet and smooth riding

The only issue I’ve had with the 2 row is it is so long it can be hard to turn around in a tight spot.

True. Crew mule is the shortest one. Any maybe Honda too.

Honda makes the pioneer 1000 and 700 which both have folding seats in the back so you don’t sacrifice vehicle length with the second row. When you need the seats put them up. When you don’t, fold them down. They have a tighter turning radius than others.

Maybe look at the Pioneer, couple guys in our club have them and are pleased with them. I’m not sure the model but is has fold down rear seats.

The crew cabs get stuck easier and are hard to drive off the trail, but are better on all other counts... except price.

The pioneers are great machines. But those back seats are better for kids. For real sized men they are very uncomfortable. Plus if the seats are up then there is no room for even a cooler behind them. Plus, they are a mud and dirt trap. And deer blood. That is why the one I used went bye bye for a crew cab ranger. The pioneer was better innthe snow and mud though. It was a billy goat.

I put a floor mat in mine to keep the dirt and mud from running down into the seats. I use a hitch hauler for deer. No blood in the bed. 😉

But yeah I do agree that’s one down side of the flip up seats but the versatility of the machine in general fits my needs pretty well. I’m pleased with it.

As others have said, there are trade offs. The 3 seater is definitely easier to get around in. That said, I sold mine and bought a crew. I will never look back. The extra space is awesome.

Depends on what you plan to use it for.

I’ve had both, currently have a Can Am crew cab and I would never go back to a single cab. It has nothing to do with 3 people or more, even with 2 people, backpacks, bows, etc the backseat is worth its weight in gold. Really nice when it rains to have the extra room for gear as well. They take a little more room to turn around, but that is the only draw back.

Pretty simple. Decide whether to haul folks or deer, firewood and/or other stuff.

I was trying to decide between single and crew. After driving my buddy’s crew, having a wife and two boys that like to ride, hauling folks to duck and dove hunt, etc I have a 23 ranger 1000xp crew on the way. I don’t foresee myself ever going back to single cab.

I have a 22 Mule Pro FXT. It can be crew cab with a 2' bed or it can become single cab with about a 4' bed and has a shorter wheel base than crew cab Can Am's and Rangers. The Pro FXT is about 16" longer and turning radius is about 2.5' more than a Pioneer. The Pioneers I have ridden in have been great machines but like mentioned the jump seats are more suited for kids than they are 200lb men. Its all personal preference but I really like the Pro FXT because of the available seating, smooth ride, quiet for gas UTV and a big plus is the factory warrant is 3 years versus 1 year with Polaris, Honda and Can AM.

Pioneer 1000-6 is about to be or has just been released. 2 full permanent bench seats and dedicated dump bed. New frame and new build, so like anything else, best to wait for the kinks to be worked out in the first year model out.

HERE
