When we were in the Virgin Islands that last few vacations down there they were all over the place. They even have them with the steering wheel on the correct side. (Left) The Virgin Islands are weird. It's half British and half American. All the cars and trucks have the steering wheels on the left side like in America, but everyone drives on the left side of the road like in England. It's screwed up. Driving down there can be sketchy.
I fell in love with the Jimney's down there, but we ended up renting a 4 door Jeep for the 10 days we were on St. John, because we had 4 adults, chairs, skin diving gear and beer that we needed to get over to the North Shore beaches everyday.
It would be cool if they brought them to the USA, but Suzuki ended car and truck sales in the USA back in 2012, so they don't have dealerships here anymore. So I think the best you are going to do is to get a Grey Market import and that in and of itself is going to drive up the price.
You are much better off with a Jeep. There's a reason that some cars, trucks and bikes are made for 3rd world countries and not sold here.
I never understood the love affair that some people had with the Samurai. A 4 cylinder Wrangler was just as slow and you could actually find all kinds of aftermarket parts for a Jeep.

I drove a 1972 Suzuki LJ20 Jimney back in high school and college as a backroads and woods runabout. 4x4, 2 cylinder 2 stroke with oil injection pump. 5 gallon gas tank. Big gumbo mudders. Winch. Top speed 35 mph downhill with a tailwind 🤣 That thing would go anywhere and 90% better than any jeep or truck. Wish I still had it.

I still have an 88 hardtop Sammi it’s just a street legal Ranger with a heater. Will fit down most ATV trails and doesn’t require a trailer just hop in and drive to the farm or hunting club. Mine has an RV hitch so I can tow it if need be as well.
