Just saw on the midday news that the Trussville location is closing.
Been there a long time. I think it was another name before Golden Rule, but kept the same manager/owner.

Southern BBQ on Wilson dam road is closing. Can’t keep up with inflation and make a profit they said

Gonna be a lot of empty building in the next 6 months I bet

No telling how many business deals were conducted at the Trussville location.

Now the old guys have to find a new place to meet up.

Larry's BBQ here in Andalusia closed a couple weeks ago and the employees apparently did not even know until they showed up for work and were told it would be their last day because the restaurant was closing permanently.

Well, there are about four other BBQ restaurants in the vicinity, but I don't think they serve breakfast.
Jim n' Nicks, Moes, Full Moon, and now Rodney Scott's in the old Joel's building.

My favorite BBQ place in Brewton closed a couple years ago. Was great during hunting season.

My buddies friend is getting ready to open his own BBQ Joint, in the same building soon. They'll get my business this Season. Nice break from Vienna's and Potted Meat.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I don’t understand why people are up in arms. The bbq was terrible.

You are right. Ate breakfast there a couple of times and it was nothing special.

The one in tuscaloosa didn’t make it long either. Always heard everyone complain about it being dry.

That location was an institution. Hamburger steak was about the only thing worth eating on a regular basis. There have been 4 generations of father-son 6AM Saturday Morning breakfasts for a lot of families eaten there over the last 40 years. On the bright side, the owner probably just put a very large check in his pocket as that corner lot was highly desired by the developers and the city for the revitalization of downtown.

He was leasing that property from Coby Lake.

Ah you’re right. Assuming Rick had a long term lease, guess they just chose not to renew.
