Looking for some smallish quantities of USGI M2 Ball/M2 AP for my first M1 Garand I just purchased from the CMP. I'm not actually looking for shooting ammo, I just want some to accompany it as collector pieces. But, if the price is good, I would take larger quantities. Stuff that has original box/in en bloc clip or spam can would be most preferred. Just let me know what you have. I often forget to check this site, so if I don't respond, text me at (The area code of Auburn/Montgomery) 707-2478 (Area code omitted so hopefully my number isn't scraped by a spam bot.)

Thanks!

I'd also be interested in any that come with the 6x8 bandolier as well

sgammo has some. Its the corrosive Korean arms ammo.

https://www.sgammo.com/product/30-0...rain-fmj-m2-ball-m1-garand-ammo-korean-a
clip: This ammo is M2 ball spec, meaning it is the reduced pressure load made for WW1 and WW2 era firearms, and can safely be use in the M1 Garand, 1919 MG, M1903 or BAR

does that mean regular 06 ammo won't work in the M1?

Commercial 30-06 ammo will work in a Garand but if the pressure spike is too high (usually happens with 165-180g commercial ammunition) then the operating rod can bend or crack. This makes your Garand a single shot rifle. I just bought a Shuster Plug to use on my Garands. Its a bleed off valve that replaces the gas plug and removes excess pressure preventing damage to the operating rod. Went to the range today and tried it, works great. Also reduces recoil.

That’s not bad. Hoping to find a good deal on some show pieces though. Like a bandolier with six enblocs, 8 rounds each. Maybe a few unopened boxes of black tip for display, etc.
