Why it’s it a big deal. Hell you can’t find 18-25 year old that will work so if a 14 yr old if willing then hire him I would. My 8 year old son works harder than some of the 18-25 year old idiots I’ve had working for me
I agree. If theyre doing it willingly and not being taken advantage of, let em work

My kids are 12yo and 15yo, neither one legal to work in the US. You can work as young as 14 in the state of AL. Pick up a Level I certificate of child labor from their school, fill out accordingly, and keep on file at the employer’s office. We did it for our daughter a couple years and will be doing it again for our son in the spring.

Illegals can get a social security number and file taxes. It happens every day and has been happening for decades. Ive worked with a hundred of them, under democrat and republican administrations. It is not new or uncommon. Millions of them. The illegals get a federal tax ID number that they use to work under. If the are illegal with a ssn it’s fake.

Also, those “papers” allow your child to make up to $12,550 a year in tax free income.

Yes put money in kids grand kids account it’s tax free it works y’all try it . Hid it any way you can. That might get me to fill out the paper I believe it’s also tax deductible on your or the business side of things too. You do that every year for your kids from 14-18 and put it in a retirement account, they’ll have a million or so at retirement.

I’ve heard can actually start kids in family business environments earlier than that with regards to Roth IRAs. https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/investing/why-your-kid-needs-a-roth-ira

My kids are 12yo and 15yo, neither one legal to work in the US. My son has more money put back than 90% of people 10yrs older than him. My daughters not so good with money but she's learning. That being said, i get all the "child labor" i can out of them. Lifes hard, if you dont work, you dont make it. They will learn that lesson before they leave my care. If these "kids" in this factory arent shackled to the machines they are operating and they aren't being physically abused somehow, I don't see a problem with it. Our country is teaching our kids to be worthless. JWalker is !00% correct here. Teaching kids how to work has gone to the wayside (generally speaking of course). We pass laws that limit the when, where, and how long a 16 year old can work. Then at 18yo, expect them to miraculously know how to work around functional adults, when all they've done is hold an ipad or xbox controller since they could walk. and you can forget about working younger than 16. All of these illegals and legal immigrants, from south of the border, (most) have all been working since they were able. I'm a 40 year old construction superintendent; I see it everyday. People who learn to work at a young age, are the ones who work the hardest. I once had an Amish crew, (4men) assemble a metal building on a project I was on. Worked sun up to sun down. They said they stop school at 8th grade, and then go to work full time. they also start working with the family at 4-5 years old, doing little chores, but work none the less. They don't grow up looking at work as a drag, its just what people do. That sentiment has long been gone from the workforce I am exposed to. I grew up with a father who can do most anything; from rebuilding an engine to framing and trimming out a house. Not much he hasn't been exposed to in his lifetime of work. I worked with him from 11 years old till I figured out I could work elsewhere and get yelled at a lot less. But working at a young age, with high expectations, created my work ethic. And not just work ethic, but also the reward of seeing something to fruition, and having some pride in what you accomplished. That's what we are failing to foster in the younger generation.
