What makes a good neighbor ?
Been sitting with my FIL the last few days and just got home to find my grass had been cut and the ditch weedeated
I dont get emotional about much but this has got to me a bit
What you may not understand about this is that my front yard is roughly 2 acres

Good folks

Folks that help one another and don't spect much of nothing In return.
Mind they own business
And keep a good fence

My elder neighbor used to always tell me “God love a good neighbor!”

My neighbor invited us for dinner, going to walk over here shortly.

I do it for my neighbor occasionally, just the front. I have a riding mower now and it takes an extra 10 minutes to do a good thing for him. He's helped me in the past and since his wife passed a few years ago, he's not been taking care of his property as he should. I don't judge. If I lost my wife I'd probably give zero shats about anything either.

It’s times like these when we need a good neighbor more than anything. Glad you got one. I have few up the road

Theres still some out there. The thing is, we are all someones neighbor.

Back when I lived in Marengo county - I had a little push more and it took me 3 1/2 hours to cut the yard. From time to time - my neighbor would cut my yard w his big riding Moore - he was awesome

Now I often cut my neighbors yard w my big riding Moore 😀 - I remember what that meant to me

I've cut my neighbors some but I think they thought I was being a dick.lol I know they don't have a mower and was trying to help but I've never had a person next to me responsible enough to cut there own grass I've gotten used to cutting it.
They probably think I own the property I been cutting.lol oh well I just do it

I've got some good ones. I just met the first one after living here about two years.

A couple of years ago hurricane Zeta came through. Most won't remember it but in Chilton county it was DEVASTATING. I had 8 trees fall on my house and a few more block my driveway. As the sun came up, ny neighbor was in my driveway holding a chainsaw calling out to me. He called out of work and told his boss, "my house is fine but my neighbor is in bad shape and that's the same as my family being in trouble." That's a good neighbor.

I am blessed to have great neighbors. We all look after each others places when one of us goes out of town.

I’ve actually approved a police report someone filed on their neighbor for Criminal Trespassing 3rd because the neighbor cut his grass without his permission while he was out of town caring for his ill mother and the neighbor “didn’t cut it right”. I have no idea if he tried to follow up with a warrant.

When I lived in Texas 25 years ago I had a very good neighbor. I was single and she would come over and cook dinner and clean house.

And what did she expect in return?
