He's an outspoken Christian, pro-life, pro-America and just generally seems to be a "good ol' boy from Alabama (kinda makes you wonder how he managed to have even a remotely successful acting career with those "strikes" against him). And respect him for 2 things I read about his acting career. 1. He turned down a lot of roles that wanted him to lose his natural accent. 2. He left NCIS to spend more time with his family since the grind of a weekly show was very demanding.
