NOT MINE. I repeat NOT mine.

Local gun store Quints Hardware and Sporting Goods in Saraland gets a lot of estate guns. Latest haul had this Ruger in it.

I thought they were relatively uncommon and maybe desirable so I thought I’d post it here. Nice looking used gun but I didn’t look too closely at it in fear I’d want it. Don’t remember the price. Sorry.

Was also a VERY nice Beretta AL391 Urika in .12 gauge that I REALLY wanted. It was marked $1100 and I suspect that’s all it was worth.

Rarely many bargains here, although I let a very nice Sako 7mm Mag L61 Finnbear get away from me there for under a grand. I already had one in ‘06. Nice people run the place. Not far out of the way for someone going to the beach.

Now that I think about it, there was a model 39 (brand?) lever action .22 that had been used hard but was cool looking. $399 for it seemed strong as well.

Just so we are all on the same page.... The Ruger 44 Carbine that is rare is the Deerfield that has an action like a M-1 Carbine. Built from about 2000 to around 2005. The Deerstalker is just the standard 44 Carbine they made from the 1906's through the mid-1980's.

Both are handy as a shirt pocket. I use to take mine with me nearly every weekend in the event I would have to track a deer. But all it's ever tracked are deer shot with a 243. Which would clearly not be one of mine. Seriously I'm not making that up.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Those Ruger 44 mag carbines were fine deer woods rifles.

My family hunted with these for years in the Pearl River swamps when you could dog hunt on what is now call Bogue Chitto NWR. Been some sure enough studs killed out of that place with the lil 44’s.
