Is it pre-64 or post. Stock is either checkered (pre-'64) or basket weave looking pattern (post-'64)

I bought one NEW in 1974 from Story's in Opelika. I shot it probably 50 times....would jamb on about every third shell. Never could figure out its ailment. Really nice Balanced rifle.Ended up selling it to a guy in Opelika....
