If the structure has exterior access doors, you probably don't want to stay there unless it's got the following or similar names...JW, Westin, Four Seasons, Ritz, Fairmont.
Live by that and you'll probably be at least decent.

Four Seasons and Ritz should at least be decent rofl

Would guess finding a room would be hard right now and they may have to go back west.

Should be decent but a lot of newer cheaper hotels r nicer than some of them...I reckon price point keeps most scum out tho...

Avoid Aaronville and CR 12. That is all.

I live in Foley and haven't compared costs, but I'd look elsewhere. Days Inn looks pretty sketchy. I'd try the new hotels around OWA if the price isn't crazy.

Spanish Fort is along your trail and seems like a decent town. (I must add that I'm not from the area though so I could be way off on that. I'm sure I will be corrected by the locals if so.) It's further from the high real estate of the gulf coast so you could probably find great accommodations for the price of ok accommodations near Gulf Shores. Just a thought.

Hope they have a good time!

Fun fact about Magnolia Springs and it's history: For those that live on the Magnolia and Fish Rivers, they still get their mail delivered by a postman in a jon boat!

https://www.thisisalabama.org/2019/...s-back-to-early-1900s-in-baldwin-county/

An integral part of that history, and the community itself, is the U.S. Postal Service’s Magnolia Star River Route — the only year-round service of its kind in America. So, when Mark Lipscomb’s aluminum skiff cruises without wake under the canopy of pines and oak on Magnolia or Fish Rivers, it’s not crab traps, skis or fishing tackle piled at the bow, but letters, packages and the roots of an institution dating back to 1916.

They probably already know this, but there is an outlet mall in Foley. Regarding OWA, it's sort of an entertainment district with shops, restaurants, amusement park, etc. Also there is a really good restaurant named Jesse's in Magnolia Springs.
