I am shutting my hunting club down and just going to allow family members to hunt. The friends that are leaving are taking there Sad Daddy tree stands with them. I am looking to buy some Sportsman condos. The one I am planning to purchase is the SE3.I climbed in one yesterday the guy had on lot and I liked it. It is the round one that is 66 inches wide.
How about it.I need opinions from some of the members that have them? Do they hold up in the long run?
I am going to approve the order for 5 tomorrow. This is a big investment for me and I want to be satisfied with them for a long time.

My brother has one on our lease, it’s the round bow condo. I don’t like it at all personally. It’s extremely loud, windows aren’t the correct height (for me), and the windows are loud when opening and closing. It is also HOT on a warm afternoon.

Gave away the ones we had. They were the long narrow ones. They always stayed wet inside and were two narrow imo.

We have 3 different types of shooting houses/box blinds on our lease. 1 that a member built, 3 sad daddy blinds and 2 sportsman condos. Out of all of them the sportsman condos are my least favorite. The sad daddy’s are a lot better built and a lot more comfortable in my opinion.

With that being said, the sportsman condos have held up great and get the job done. We’ve had the sad daddy’s for about 4 years and we’ve had the sportsman condos for about 6 or 7. The sportsman condos are definitely not as roomy, warm, comfortable, quiet or secure as a sad daddy but they keep you dry and they keep you concealed.

Also I believe the condos are half the price of sad daddy’s

I’ve got several. I think they are the best bang for your buck. I prefer the sc2. The round one really doesn’t add space. Set them up in the shade and anchor well.

I like them for the money. I haven’t had any issues out of the ones we have. They can get very warm on a mild sunny day but I have not any issues with them leaking like some have reported. Windows on ours are not noisy. You can get other brands with more comforts and options but you’ll pay double the price. They do exactly what they are intended to do. Keep you out of the elements and quiet. Nothing fancy.

Ditto, for the price they are hard to beat. Add some shelves, a sheet of plywood in the bottom and a piece of carpet and you’re ready to hunt. I hunt in some that are probably 13 yrs old and they are still in good shape.

We have some on our club, like many have said, good bang for the buck. We add foam to the walls to dampen the noise, carpet in floor, a little tint on windows and your good to go. Anchor well.

Carpet on the floor really helps, We have 2 crossbow condos that are the larger round ones, and we really like them. Windows are quiet, they stay dry, and do very well with a buddy heater.

Even a ground blind is toasty on a warm day in the sun.

Thank all you gentlemen for the replies. I am going to go for it and will add plywood to floors and thick carpet for noise.
I just wanted some facts and opinions before putting out the money.

Crossbow Condo is large enough for 2 full size office chairs with grown men in them, and have plenty of leg room.

You need the carpet on the floors , but I use carpet on the floors of every shooting house.

I like them. Enough so that I bought a bunch of them. We have the Ridgelines, SC1s and the SC2s . I just added 4 to my one farm, 5 to another, and 4 on another . Easy to put up and I think they are nice. Great shooting house for the price.

I like my SC2. It’s one of the old original models I’ve had for 9 years or so.

I have a couple. They aren't the best by any stretch of the imagination sort of like hanging out in a big trash can.....

The real advantage is that they are easy to deal with and last. Easy to put up or take down, etc. I can get over some of the shortcomings for that aspect. I plan on adding a few more to my place.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Best bang for the buck. Put a stall mat from tractor supply in the floor. I’ve never had a problem with noisy windows. Easy to put up and anchor down.

I am the type that uses ground blinds - but I did miraculously land a muddy blind - special deal - long story - not type to ever spend $3500 on blind and I did not - but - I freaking love it - sent proof - it just really nice - wind proof

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self
