I have Gladiator with the 3.0 Ecodiesel. I’ve had it for a year. The bed is smaller than my Z71. But I wouldn’t trade it. It’s my daily driver.

My Wife has a 2016 4 door and it is the roughest riding vehicle I have been in. I am thinking about lifting it with some upgraded shocks to see if it helps the ride any. She loves it though and its her daily. She averages 16 mpg.

A 4WD Jeep would be good in additional to a truck. However, I wouldn't give up a truck just to have a Jeep.

My best buddy has a rubricon Gladiator... it is little, but nice I guess. No way I could fit my 4-wheeler in the back. But, I guess we look cool driving around. Or maybe like a couple of gay guys trying to hard.

pretty sure I don’t want to get rid of either! Lol!! But the LJ is a 05 Rubicon 4.0 6 speed and if I have anything to do with it, neither are going anywhere!

You’ll love the Jeep and miss the F150 at times. I have a 2009 JK 2 door I’ve been driving for about 7 years. They’re rough riding, impractical and oh so much fun. Don’t run E-rated tires and run them under inflated a little. That helps smooth things out some.

Jeep’s are good second vehicles. We have a 14 Unlimited Sahara. I had to drive it for a couple of days last week while my F250 was getting a recall done. No way I could drive one everyday. My advice if you do get one for a daily driver is to don’t go cheap on lift or anything else that has to do with steering or the suspension.

Jeeps are fun but would definitely want to keep a truck around. My daily driver now is a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk which is a nice daily driver and is a very capable 4x4. I also keep an old Ford 1-Ton in case I need a truck. I've owned a few Wranglers, couple CJ7s and one Kaiser, I like them but would never use one as a daily driver again if I had a choice.

Not to mention they are overpriced for such a little vehicle. Unless you struggle parking a truck I would pass.

I had a 2005 TJ with the 4.0 in it, 6 speed manual transmission. Loved it, and the straight six 4.0 has a long throw crank which gives it a lot of torque. If I was to go buy another one, it would be 2006 or older. The thing was a beast at the hunting club, but with a family of 4 it was not roomy at all. I sold it with 97,000, for 10,500. I now own a F150 and haven’t looked back

We still have our 2000 Wrangler TJ. It has been a great vehicle, but it is not a truck.

You will do a lift and larger tires, so do not go cheap on the lift. Look a Curry/Savvy. You will want to re-gear the axles if you go above one size larger on tires. The vehicle is under powered so adding the tires will make it even worse. Read before you start doing mods, and read some more. Build the Jeep for what you are going to do with it, and not what the crowd thinks you should do. The hard tops are great, but not really needed in the south, so if you get one make sure you have a place to store it. If there are Jeep clubs in your area, join. The guys are normally great and will help you a lot. Its not like a hunting club. LOL

I’ve been trying to talk my dad into selling me his 98 Sahara for years. Mint condition, hard top and roughly 110k miles.

I love my 1997 TJ, but as an around town, country road, forest service road, vehicle. Not as a daily driver. I might be fine with it as a daily once I retire, but right now I need a nice comfortable truck for my travel vehicle, which is what I have with my 2018 Ram Bighorn.

I may sell both of them soon and upgrade to a JK 2 door with the 3.6.

I really like the 3.6 Pentastar motor. I have it in my truck and I really like it. Nice power, very fuel efficient, and is a very reliable engine.

I've got a '16 JKU lifted on 35s and it's my daily. I'm thinking about getting rid of it and getting a F150. It's cool and all but mostly impractical, rides rough, and isn't great on fuel. If it was a little older and a second "fun" vehicle it would be awesome.

Always felt the same. After riding with a friend and hearing from others, there's no way I'll ever own a newer one. Maybe a CJ7 but that'd be a bit different.

They all change drive train components every single year to a degree.untill you thoroughly research every year models problems you don't know how reliable that vehicle is between any manufacturer currently.any brand period.
They all have problems

They look cool but ride and feel like junk. If you don't mind climbing into a tiny stiff box with no room or comfort, then they are awesome.
