A friend wants to bypass a ballast and install led light
His question to me:

I am bypassing my ballast to put in LED double end feed tubes.

See how the tombstones are wired to the ballast.

Which should be positive, red/blue or yellow?

Thx!!!

Twist all reds and blues together and then twist the yellows together in separate group. Tie in the black wire (hot) to red/blue and the white wire (neutral) to yellow. Install bulbs and turn on power.

Some of those led bulbs can be wired a couple of different ways. Just look at the end of the bulb. Ive always sent hot to one side and neutral to the other as BCLC stated. Fastest way.

the package of the new bulbs should tell all you need to know. also what tombstones are needed. Mine had new ones with it.

I just changed out several myself this past winter and IIRC there is a variant that requires hot and cold on the same side, one to each of the legs on the same side of the new tube. The other side is not used at all other than as a support/hold. That seemed complicated and easy to screw up so I bought the type that Odocoileus decribed.

Just be sure you have the correct type for a hot on one end, cold on the other before installing. It seemed to be the most common and should be in the instructions assuming you have them.
