Saturday, on Jordan was so windy I felt like I was running across the ocean and needed a trip to chiropractor and message therapy. Fishing was tuff for me only catching 14 and nothing over 2.5lbs. Caught the 2.5 on a spinnerbait and it had a 18" piece of red braided line extending out of its stomach. It seemed to be healthy and exploded on the SB. Like usual, that was the only bite on a SB. Sunday afternoon was still windy on Lay but not as bad as Saturday on Jordan. The fishing was terrible for me. First trip this year I didn't catch double digits on any lake I've been on. I couldn't figure anything out. Even went looking for bedding fish. Managed two bites and caught one fish in 5 hours. I don't fish tournaments any more but still like to keep up with what it's taking to win. I like to weigh my best 5 and see how I would have done. I spend most of my time fishing now with the love of my life and best friend that I will be married to 28yrs this October. Wish I would have gotten her fishing with me 28yrs ago. I get more excited for her to catch fish.
Does anyone know what it took to win the wildcat on Lay yesterday out of the narrows? I think it took 17lbs to win the high school tournament Saturday on Lay. I have no idea what it took to win on Jordan Saturday but the ramp across from Boners was loaded.
Y'all be safe and God Bless.

It was a tough weekend for fishing everywhere.

You didn't ask about G'ville, but thought I'd throw it in: ASABFA Guntersville out of Goose Pond 4/9 took 20.36 to win with BF of 9.14. I was just happy to make it off the lake with my two junior anglers (8th graders) safe and sound. They did manage 2 fish for 4.08.

Guy the boys fish with took a tourney out of decatur with 24something sunday. Dudes leaning on em right now. Austin went to smith sunday and he said they caught prolly 30. Best 5 were 13ish. Said the better fish cranked up about 5pm. Lost a 5-6lb toad.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I've had to spend the gas to find them but Sunday was a beat down on me and my daughter. After trips like that I wish I had a video like the MLF guys to watch and see what other anglers did to catch fish. I'd just like to see what I was doing wrong. Hey, I love it anyway. Catching is just icing on the cake. Everyone stay safe and keep it clean out there.

Anyone fish Logan this past weekend or have any reports? One of my student high school anglers and I fished Logan on Sunday. We put in at Lincoln Landing and fished down as far as about mid lake, last horseshoe before before it straightens out headed to the dam. Only my 3rd time on the lake and we managed 20 fish or so. Biggest of the bunch was a 2.5 LM not counting the 8.5 blue cat that I caught on a shakeyhead. We caught everything on shakeyhead. We tried other stuff, crankbaits, jig and trailers but couldn't get bit on those. Next trip we are headed way down the lake to try the lower end. Lake is not up to full pool yet either. David
