The last time gas hit 4.00 a gallon, pickup truck prices dropped through the bottom and used Honda Civics became like gold. Nobody wants to hear it but, most folks that are working are making more money than they were the last time gas hit $4.00/gal. Whether it be due to overtime, better sales (Commisioned folks, higher hourly paid by employers to keep the help they have and atract additional labor force to meet demand, etc. It has'nt hit them yet. My shop was full to the max and the parking lot was full of cars parked 3 deep at every space and many parked across and down the street on Saturday. Every time I got chance to step in the showroom it was full of folks. The main conversation was Gas $. It didn't slow down anyone's purchasing.

I put $140.00 in my F150 this morning. Thank God for a company truck and fuel card.

Not sure where everybody's getting all this money, but folks sure spending like they printing it up in the back room of the house.

When we go on the turkey/axis hunt in Sonora at the beginning of April, we may be eating tuna fish and beanie weanies so we can afford the fuel. We were going in my buddy’s Ford F-350. We may have to change our mode of transportation. Yeah, we're supposed to go to the boundary waters fishing the last of june. 4k miles round trip at 5/6 dollars a gallon got me worried!
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
