Say I'm a convicted felony.
I'm driving around drunk and have a hand gun . I get pulled over I know I'm gonna be searched. I know the cop gonna find the gun . Smartest thing to do is say ,,, officer by law I have to inform you i have a weapon
OK I get charged dui and weapon charges. When it goes to court they'll have to drop the weapon charge because my 5th amendment of self incrimination was violated.

They shouldn't be asking unless you are out of your vehicle That ain't how it will work . When pulled over you have tell them you have a hand gun. They are aren't required to ask you,,,,,,,you are required to tell them . If you don't inform them you break the law

How would they know if you didn't tell What if they decide to search for what reason and find it . You run the risk of losing the right to carry. To me this is F_ed up

I got pulled over one night by a State Trooper north of Prattville. When he asked for my license I also gave him my CC as a courtesy. He thanked me and gave that directly back to me. He could have given me a ticket but came back and kindly gave me a warning. I believe courtesy helped.

Permit may be VOIDED, but there's no law on the books in Bama that says you can't be in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Seen Doekiller post something alongb the lines of that one-time 😉
